Special Classroom

Every child is blessed with unique capabilities. At MMS, children who are differently abled are accepted, supported and encouraged to grow in a classroom made for them.

Our approach

Accepted, supported and encouraged to grow

Children who are differently abled are blessed with unique capabilities. At Mathakondapalli Model School we accept every child as they are, and support them in our Special Classroom, a calm, welcoming space designed around their needs.

Based on each child's need, the journey does not end in the Special Classroom. Children move into inclusive education, learning alongside their peers in regular schooling, with the support they need to belong and to thrive.

How it works

A caring path, shaped around each child

Acceptance first

Every child is welcomed for their unique capabilities. The Special Classroom is a place where children feel safe, understood and valued.

Trained special educators

Children are supported by professional special educators, well trained to scaffold each child's needs, with guidance that fits where the child is and helps them take the next step.

A pathway to inclusion

Based on the child's need, they move into inclusive education with regular schooling, so they learn and grow together with all their classmates.

Learning in the Special Classroom

What children do here

Hands-on learning

Tactile frames, peg boards, building blocks, bead sorting and puzzles help children learn through touch, focus and fine-motor practice.

Movement and sensory play

Therapy balls, balance beams, a trampoline and a ball pit give children safe ways to move, balance and play, always with an educator close by.

Learning together

Table and floor-mat activities in small groups let children learn with their educators and with each other, building confidence and friendship.
